SPEEDWAY'S HISTORY:
WICHITA, KANSAS - Whether you're a collector or just a race fan,
Speedway Auto Collectable in Wichita can find that certain item for you-
if they don't already have it. Owner, Steve Cronk opened his shop in Wichita
about three years ago, realizing there were no racing collectables shop in the area.
He sells auto racing collectables, diecast cars, t-shirts, caps, photos,
poster-prints and many other items that race fans would love to add to their
collection, whether it is NASCAR, drag racing, sprint cars or dirt late models.
He also carries several auto racing publications.
He can also get 37 different NASCAR teams....
Certified through Goodyear and Winston souvenirs of Mooresville, N. Carolina.
These are tires that have actually been used in a race.
He also carries Winged Sprint Hats for the ultimate sprint car fan,
and Edge Motorsport T-shirts that are not for the timid.
Speedway Auto Collectable is located
2831 North Broadway in Wichita, Kansas.
And Steve has recently expanded his showroom to twice the size.
Steve still works full time at another job Monday through Thursday,
as well as keeping busy with his #8 Kage Kart he races
on occasion at Wichita and Winfield. It is a 100 cc Yamaha.
Catalogs or Sales Flyers; more Information
Steve tries to do some kind of catalog or sales flyer
every three to six months but admits,
"Race cars sometimes move quickly and it is hard to keep up with them."
If the hours won't work out for you, Steve says,
"If a race fan can't seem to make it to the shop during the regular hours,
call me and I'll stay late or try to meet them on a week night or some other time."
